Unioto
wins Paint Valley Invitational
04/07/04
Zane
Trace set a record in winning the final event -- the 1600-meter
relay -- but it wasn't enough to catch Unioto in the Paint Valley
Junior Invitational boys track and field championships Wednesday
evening.
Unioto
edged the Pioneers 74-69 1/2 for the team title.
Shane
Wepprich, Jeremy Roll, Adam Jones and Sawyer Blakeman claimed
the meet's 1600-meter relay record -- one of two broken during

Justin Miller of Zane Trace. Although Avery won the 200-meter
dash, a tie for third place in the event by Miller was enough
to take medalist honors.
