by a second place finish in the 100-meter dash, Unioto's Jodi
Finchum won two of the final four events to lead Unioto to a come-from-behind
victory over Zane Trace in the Paint Valley Junior High Invitational
girls championships Wednesday evening.
Unioto
won the team title 111 1/2-107 over Zane Trace.
By
winning the 200-meter hurdles and 200-meter dash, Finchum shared
meet medalist honors with Huntington's Lydia Bridenbaugh, winner
of the 100-meter hurdles and 400-meter dash.

Unioto
athletes set two meet records, but the Lady Shermans had to settle
for second place behind Circleville in the girls team race in
the Unioto Junior High Invitational Saturday.
Circleville
won the title 107 1/2-91 1/2 with Logan third at 85.
Unioto's
Katelyn Jinks shattered the meet record in the high jump with
a leap of 4-9. That erased the previous mark of 4-4.
Teammate
Jodi Finchum won the 200-meter hurdles in a meet record :31.8,
depriving meet medalist Lydia Bridenbaugh of Huntington of a sweep
of the three events she entered. Bridenbaugh was second in the
200-meter hurdles after winning the 100-meter hurdles and the
400-meter dash.
Finchum
also won the 200-meter dash.
Rachel
Proehl of Zane Trace won the long jump and 100-meter dash and
Lauryn Dawley of Logan took the 800 and 1600-meter runs.
